Microsoft Outlook setup

Step 1: Launch the Wizard
  • Open Outlook for the first time.
  • If you have never set up an account, the Welcome to Outlook screen will appear automatically.
  • Enter your full email address
  • Advanced Options: Click Advanced options below the email field to reveal manual configuration checkboxes.
  • Manual Setup: Check the box for Let me set up my account manually and click Connect or Next.
    • Select Exchange 2013 or earlier
    Step 3: Enter Your Credentials
    • A Windows Security prompt will pop up asking for your login details.
    • Enter your complete email address (or domain\username if required by your IT department).
    • Enter your password.
    • Check the box for Remember my credentials so you don't have to type it every time you open Outlook.
    • Click OK.
Step 4: Account Configuration & Autodiscover
      • Outlook will now look for the Exchange 2013 server using your domain's Autodiscover service.
      • If a security warning pops up stating "Allow this website to configure server settings?", check Don't ask me about this website again and click Allow.
      • The wizard will show checkmarks next to:
        • Establishing network connection
        • Searching for your email address settings
        • Logging on to the mail server
        Step 5: Complete Setup
        • Once successful, you will see a screen stating Account successfully added.
        • Uncheck the box that says "Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone too" (unless you want to do that now).
        • Click Done or Finish.
Outlook will now open and begin downloading your mailbox, calendar, and contacts from the Exchange 2013 server. This initial sync may take some time depending on your mailbox size.
